Hume Community Housing embraced their workplace move as an opportunity to better support their growing team and refresh their work environment.

Hume Community Housing is one of Australia’s leading not-for-profit affordable housing providers.

With an upcoming relocation planned, they wanted to take the opportunity to re-brand and reinvigorate their workspace. Functionally, the brief was to create a space that would break down existing silos and create a more flexible, agile and welcoming environment.

Our design solution prioritised an open and collaborative work area, supported with various meeting and focus spaces throughout. This provides their people with greater choice and supports their  transition to a more flexible way of working.

Sustainability was also a key consideration, so we incorporated planting throughout and concentrated the built environment on the core to maximise access to natural light.

Our progressive budgeting ensured the project was delivered within the initial budget while meeting the desired design outcome.

We incorporated references to their branding throughout, by balancing their company colours with a neutral palette. The end result is light filled, providing a warm and welcoming space for their staff and customers.

Crest are responsive, they’re clever in their designs and the finished product is absolutely to the standard that we were looking for.
